Attributes
Use Identity > Attributes to inspect, compare, edit, back up, and copy PingOne identity attributes.
Attributes can affect flows, forms, policies, mappings, and downstream integrations. Treat changes as environment-impacting configuration updates.
Common Uses
- Review attribute definitions.
- Compare attributes between environments.
- Copy attributes into a destination environment.
- Edit supported attribute properties.
- Back up attributes before migration or cleanup.
Basic Workflow
- Select an Org Root.
- Select a source environment.
- Optionally select a destination environment.
- Search for the attribute.
- Open the row to inspect or edit details.
- Copy or back up as needed.
Before Editing
Confirm:
- The selected environment is correct.
- The attribute is not required by active production flows or policies.
- The destination environment should receive the change.
- You have a backup where available.
Compare and Copy
When both source and destination are selected, review match indicators before copying. Do not overwrite destination attributes unless the destination should follow the source configuration.
Troubleshooting
If attributes do not appear, confirm:
- Source environment is selected.
- Worker app has identity read access.
- Search and filters are cleared.
- Your user has access to the identity domain if user authorization is enabled.
